A Community movement for cleaner, healthier streets
New York City streets are below the basic standards of hygiene. Bushwick is tired of overflowing trash bags, litter-filled sidewalks, and neglected public spaces. By starting local, we’re building a replicable model that can expand across NYC and other cities.

🚀 The $150,000 Clean Streets Campaign
We’re raising $150,000 to bring cleaner, safer, and more vibrant streets to Bushwick.
With your support, we’re installing 100 new dog waste stations, adding 100 public trash cans, adopting vacant “no man’s lands,” and hosting weekly community cleanups—because every block deserves dignity.
🗑️ Public Trash Cans
Overflowing litter baskets are one of Bushwick’s biggest challenges. We’re working with the city to install 100 new public trash cans in high-traffic areas to reduce street litter, discourage illegal dumping, and create a culture of shared responsibility.
🐾 Dog Waste Stations
We’re expanding to 100 stations across Bushwick to make pet ownership easier, streets cleaner, and fines preventable. This project works in partnership with city agencies and requires ongoing community support.
🏚️ Adopting “No Man’s Lands”
Vacant properties often become hotspots for illegal dumping. We’re stepping in—organizing neighbors, working with owners, and maintaining these spaces so they stop dragging down our community.
Our Initiatives
🤝 Weekly Cleanups
Every week, volunteers gather to sweep sidewalks, collect trash, and beautify our neighborhood. Our next Community Cleanup at Maria Hernandez Park is November 1. Supplies needed: industrial brooms, dustpans, and rolling trash bins.
